The Face of Taiwanese Baozhong Tea

A Tea-Scented Memory of Northern Taiwan
Pinglin sits in the mountains of New Taipei, embraced by peaks and wreathed in cloud and mist, and has been the birthplace of Taiwanese Baozhong tea since the Qing dynasty. The local humid, cool climate is ideally suited to "Qingxin Oolong", and the Baozhong made here has long been praised in the saying "Baozhong of the north, oolong of the south" — the definitive example of Taiwan's strip-style, lightly oxidized teas.

Tasting Notes

Light-Oxidation Craft · Natural Florals

Tightly Knit Strips · Bright Honey-Green
Picked as one bud and two leaves, then sun-withered, rested indoors to draw off moisture, and lightly oxidized (8–12%) before being shaped by strip-style rolling — preserving the leaves' naturally fresh, lively floral aroma rather than rolling them into balls.

The liquor is a bright honey-green, giving off a serene orchid fragrance; sweet, mellow, and smooth on entry with fine layers, and a light, lasting returning sweetness — the perfect introduction to Taiwanese tea.
